The house of Rumbak is located at a distance of 40 kms from Leh airport and one is driven through the narrow valleys along the Indus river. The property is set on a plateau overlooking the snow-capped mountain and the Rumbak river. The lodge provides stunning 360 degree views of the mountains consisting of the Glacier valley towards the south east and the Tarbung Hill towards the south west - both of which are main spots for snow leopard sighting. On a good day one might just spot the snow leopard right through the window.
